About Us

Gordon Heights is a hamlet located in the town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is situated on Long Island's North Shore and is part of the Longwood Central School District. Gordon Heights was originally developed in the mid-20th century as a residential community primarily for African Americans. The area has a predominantly suburban feel, with residential homes and neighborhoods. It is a relatively small community, covering an area of approximately 1.9 square miles.
The Greater Gordon Heights Civic Association (GGHCA) is a community organization that aims to improve the quality of life for residents of Gordon Heights. The association represents the interests of residents and works towards addressing local issues, advocating for community development, and organizing various community events.
